A senior Army officer among three injured in Kashmir blast

Baramulla, Nov 30 (UNI) A senior Army officer was among three soldiers wounded in a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in north Kashmir this afternoon, official sources said.

They said militants triggered a powerful IED at Khawaja Bagh, about 2 km from here on the highway when Army vehicles were passing the area.

Sources said a Deputy commandant of Rashitriya Rifles and two other soldiers were injured in the blast.

The blast was so powerful that its sound was heard in the entire town.

The entire area has been cordoned off and a massive hunt has been launched to nab the militants responsible for the blast.
