5 murder accused sentenced to life by court

Gonda, Nov 30 (UNI) A court has slapped life imprisonment on five persons accused in a murder case in Gonda District of Uttar Pradesh.

According to prosecution, on March 6, 2002 -- Janardan Prasad Pandey was killed by miscreants Arun Kumar, Chandra Pratap, Ratnesh, Dinesh Pal and Umesh Chandra over a dispute under Begamganj police station area.

Later, an FIR was lodged against the accused.

On the basis of testimony, Additional Sessions Judge of the Fast Track Court Ram Sagar Mirdha pronounced life imprisonment to all the accused and imposed a penalty of Rs 10,000 each on them.
