Walkathon on Dec 10 to raise funds for children's cause
Pune, Nov 29 (UNI) Aviva Life Insurance, in association with Concern India Foundation (CIF), will host a ''walkathon'' on December 10 to raise funds for welfare projects for children.
Addressing mediapersons here yester, Aviva Life Insurance managing director Bert Paterson said, ''As part of our corporate social responsibility in India, we take up social and environmental causes to secure the future of the local communities.'' ''Our long association with CIF is another step towards our goal of helping secure the future of children who are the future of the country,'' Mr Paterson added.
Concern India Foundation CEO Kavita Shah, who also addressed the media, said her organisation was delighted to partner with Aviva.
The ''walkathon'' has been conceptualized to raise funds for the on-going projects for the children, she added.
Aviva has been associated with the CIF since the past three years in an endeavour to better the quality of lives of the less-privileged children in the city, she said.
Both Mr Paterson and Ms Shah fervently appealed to the residents to extend support to the cause.
