VSP launches ERP project

Visakhapatnam, Nov 29 (UNI) Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) Chairman and Manging Director Y Siva Sagar Rao today launched the Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) project, which would provide an integrated enterprise solution utilising a new generation ERP product that could be used by all units of VSP for business funtions.

Speaking after the launching of ERP project here, he said the project would facilitate the VSP to achieve integration activities from input to sales and it would curtail the activity time resulting in higher satisfaction levels of its stakeholders. An ERP core team was put in place for implementation to achieve the integration of various functions like production, materials, management, human resources, marketing and finance.

Mr Rao also launched the project logo to mark the beginning of the project, which would be implemented within a period of two years to derive the benefits.

The team would work under the guidance of Director Finance of VSP P K Bishnol, Mr Rao added.
