Voters inclined towards nationalist parties: BJP

Khandwa, MP, Nov 29 (UNI) BJP General Secretary Anant Kumar today claimed that the Centre's failure over internal security issue was turning voters towards nationalist parties.

Mr Kumar, who was here to campaign for December 4 Pandhana by-poll, told UNI at Chhaigaon here that the Congress-led-UPA's policies regarding death sentence to Parliament attack mastermind Afzal Guru has not gone down well with the electorate, who was now turning to nationalist parties.

''The slogan 'Congress ka hath garibon ke sath' has changed to 'Congress ka hath Antakwadion ke sath,''' he said.

Referring to the party's victory in various by-elections in the country recently, he said it was clear that people were with the BJP.

He claimed that the BJP will emerge victorious in upcoming assembly elections in four states.

Alleging that prices had spiralled during the rule of the Congress, which came to power on the poll plank of reducing price rise, Mr Kumar, who is also party state incharge, said people were fed up with the policies of the Congress.

Referring to the BJP's victory in Vidisha Lok Sabha and Malehra assembly by-polls, he said the public had totally discarded Bharatiya Jan Shakti President Uma Bharti.

He said common people were happy with the policies of the BJP, which enjoyed a good image due to good work done by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, during whose tenure Madhya Pradesh shrd the tag of 'Bimaru' state and joined the category of developing state.

Mr Kumar exhorted partymen to ensure victory for the party candidate during the Pandhana by-poll.

On complaints of road and electricity raised by party workers during the convention, the BJP leader said Mr Chouhan will focus in these areas and mistakes would not be repeated.
