93 blasts: Video co producer held guilty under TADA

Mumbai, Nov 29: Producer of 'Magnum' video company Samir Hingora, who had supplied weapons to Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, was today found guilty under the TADA Act.

Dutt, who was found in possession of the arms, was convicted yesterday under the Arms Act and was later granted bail till December 19.

However, two more blasts accused were also found guilty by TADA court here during the day.

Designated TADA Judge P D Kode while convicting them cancelled their bail and ordered to take them in custody.

Samir was convicted under sec(3) of TADA and under section 120 B of Indian Penal Code. He alongwith his partner Hanis Kadawala, who was shot dead three years back by a rival gang, had supplied three AK-56 riffles and hand grenades at the residence of Dutt on the instruction of under world don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Anish Ibrahim.

He was also accused of purchasing seven air tickets for the blasts accused which were later handed over to Yakub Memon, one of the convicted member of the Memon family who have masterminded the serial blasts which rocked the metropolis on March 12, 1993.

Blast accused Russi Mulla (approx 70 yrs old), who had helped the co-accused in destroying the weapons, which was in possession of Sanjay Dutt was found guilty under sec 3, 7 of the Arms Act.

Meanwhile, another blasts accused Baba Mossa Chauhan, who had supplied weapons at the residence of Sanjay Dutt and another accused Salim Kurla who was shot by a rival gang three years back, was convicted under section 3(3), 5 and 6 of TADA and section 3, 7 25iA and iB of Arms Act and section 4B of the Explosives Substances Act and 9(1) (B-1) of Explosives Act. He was found in possession of 25 hand grenades and he had also supplied one AK-56 riffle to Salim Kurla.
