Tripura will take Rs 350 cr loan from Japan Bank

Agartala, Nov 29 (UNI) The Tripura government has decided to accept loan from the Japan Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC), if it was on the basis of 90:10. official sources here said today.

This was decided at a cabinet meeting here last night.

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar told reporters here today the state will take Rs 350 crore loan from the JBIC for investment in development of forest based economic activity of the state.

He said the loan fund sanctioning was at a final stage.

The JBIC consultants had already submitted its survey reports to the state government in this regard.

The cabinet also decided to sign an MOU with the Centre for implementation of Jawahar Lal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission (JNURM) scheme.

After the singing the agreement, the state government would get Rs 550 crore from JNURM scheme, Mr Sarkar added.
