Traders Advisory Committee constituted under Delhi finance minister

New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today constituted a Traders Advisory Committee under Chairmanship of Delhi Finance and Planning Minister A K Walia.

The committee consisting of representatives from various trades, business, industry, professions and other related organisations had been constituted to deliberate discuss, suggest and advice measures for the promotion and development of trade and business in Delhi, a statement said.

Delhi Industries and Labour Minister Mangat Ram Singhal had been nominated Convener of the Committee.

The terms of reference for the 100 member-committee had also been announced.

The committee's role would be advisory in nature and primarily deliberate on trade related issues like giving suggestions relating to Delhi Master Plan, suggesting remedial measures in the wake of the situation arising out of various court orders, continuously interacting with trade representatives, trade associations and trade bodies, suggesting measures for development of trade in the capital and development and promotion of trade related activities and give suggestions on parking plan for the city.

Earlier, the Chief Minister had given an assurance during her interaction with traders a few days ago to constitute a traders' advisory committee as soon as possible.

The first meeting of the newly-constituted committee will be convened soon.
