Torrent Pharma signs deal with Dr Reddy's

Ahmedabad, Nov 29 (UNI) City-based pharma major Torrent Pharma Limited (TPL) today signed an agreement with Dr Reddy's Laboratories Limited (DRL) for exclusive commercialisation of two of Torrent Pharma's brands in Russia.

The two brands, Listril (Lisinopril) and Listril Plus (Lisinopril HCTZ) are cardiovascular drugs used in the treatment of high blood pressure, a TPL release said here.

The agreement offers the potential for immediate commercialisation of these two brands, as they have already been registered in Russia.

This is the second such agreement between two giants for Russia.

The first was for licensing and supplying the formulation of one of its blockbuster drug 'Domstal O' (Domperidon + Omeprazole) in the gastrointenstianl segment in July, 2004, the release added.
