Three JD(U) legislators join JD(S)

Mysore, Nov 29 (UNI) Three Janata Dal (United) legislators today joined Janata Dal(Secular) party today.

Ms Nagamani Nagegowda, Mr Anjaniahi and Mr Beemappa Sarakara joined the party in the presence of former prime minister and JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in a meeting of SC and ST members held here.

With these three legislators joining JD(S), the strength of JD(U) has reduced to two.

JD(S) Spokesman Y S V Datta clarified that anti-defection law would not apply to the legislators who joined since it was two third of the party joining other party.
