Telangana issue in Parliament on Dec 1: BJP

Hyderabad, Nov 29: BJP State President Bandaru Dattatreya today said the Telangana issue would come up for discussion in the Lok Sabha under the private member's bill introduced by Punjab BJP President and MP Avinash Rai Khanna on December one.

Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Dattatreya said the Telangana issue would also be raised in Rajya Sabha as BJP Senior Leader Sushma Swaraj moved an adjournment motion.

Alleging the Congress and Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) had been cheating the people of the backward region for the last two years, he said the BJP was committed to the cause.

The party would fight for Telangana in Parliament during the current Winter Session.
