Sri Lankan arrested outside Rajapakse's hotel
New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) Police have arrested a 60-year-old Sri Lankan national from outside a Chankayapuri hotel in New Delhi area where President of the island nation Mahinda Rajapakse was staying.
Keerthi Kegalama, who was trying to meet the Lankan President, was arrested under the Foreigners Act, according to a senior police official.
''Kegalama, who had come to India some years back, was overstaying in the country without valid documents.'' He was picked last night outside Hotel Maurya Sheraton where he was loitering and trying to get inside, said the official and added that he was interrogated about his movements at that late hour and later booked when found that he did not possess valid documents.
