SIO to organise AIDS awareness camp in AP

Hyderabad, Nov 29: The Student Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) will organise AIDS awareness camp by preaching Islamic system of life from November 30 to December 2 in Andhra Pradesh.

Informing this to reporters here today, SIO state general secretary Tariq Muneer said the AIDS awareness camps and solutions presented by the governments and NGOs do not talk about eradicating it completely resulting in increasing number of AIDS victims.

Stating that the SIO was organising the awareness camps on the eve of the World AIDS Day on December one, he said Islam prohibits free mixing and casual closeness of men and women. This message would be propogated among the people.

The SIO would also take up handbill distribution programme in the state, he added.
