RS finally adjourned for the day on Soren issue

New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha was today paralysed as vociferous BJP members demanded an explanation from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the Shibu Soren issue, forcing the Chair to finally adjourn the House for the day.

The House was adjourned twice in the pre-lunch session.

Within minutes of the House reassembling at 1400 hrs, the determined BJP members once again noisily demanded that the Prime Minister make a statement on the issue.

Their loud protests drowned out the speech of Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora who announced the anticipated cut in petroleum prices.
