Praj bags 2mln euros contract for bio-ethanol complex in Belgium
New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) Praj Industries Ltd today said it has received a two million euros contract from Europe's Biowanze SA, a subsidiary of CropEnergies AG, leading producers of bio-ethanol, for supplying engineering services for setting up of a 3,00,000 cubic meters per annum bio-ethanol complex in Belgium.
The company's licence and engineering scope includes the core bio-ethanol process plant comprising, liquefaction, fermentation, multi-pressure distillation, dehydration and vinasse evaporation.
Wheat and beet syrup will be used as feedstock at this facility which is expected to go on stream during the second half of 2008, a company statement said.
CropEnergies AG is part of the 5.4 billion euros Sudzucker Group, which is the largest sugar producer in Europe with 44 sugar factories spread across the country.
The contract amount is for the first phase of designing of the complex.
