Opposition seeks action against three Ministers
Kozhikode, Nov 29 (UNI) The opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala today sought action against three state Ministers for allegedly violating the model code of conduct while electioneering in Thiruvambadi, for the December four bypolls.
In a formal complaint lodged with Election Commission observer Sudheerta Bhattacharya, Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy alleged that Finance Minister T M Thomas Issac, Health Minister P K Sreemathi and Electricity Minister A K Balan had flouted the norms by accepting representations from people in the constituency.
The complaint also mentioned about various promises made by the Ministers during election campaigning.
A copy of the complaint was also submitted to the State Election Commissioner Nalini Netto.
