Notorious criminal shot dead

Shahdol, MP, Nov 29 (UNI) Notorious criminal Gudda Yadav alias Chhota Gudda, who was synonymous with terror in region, was today killed in a police encounter, police said.

On a tip-off, police cordoned off Gudda at a farm near Mudna river in ward number 30 area. When asked to surrender, Gudda opened fire and was shot dead in police retaliation.

Gudda was wanted in connection with murder, attempt to murder, loot and rape cases.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case but had escaped when he went out on parole.
