NIIT pact with Egypt to build IT professionals

New Delhi, Nov 29: NIIT Ltd today announced it has entered into an agreement with Information Technology Institute (ITI), Cairo to build a pool of skilled professionals for the ICT industry in the country.

The training major will offer its IT education programmes through the innovative 'NIIT Inside' model integrated with the ITI curriculum.

The tie-up is aimed at facilitating and developing a meaningful and mutually beneficial relationship to foster ICT capacity building by way of classroom and online learning through the 'NIIT Inside' model.

''NIIT is committed to building a pool of skilled ICT professionals for the rapidly growing IT industry, across the globe,'' G Raghavan, President of the company's individual learning business said.

With this historic partnership, ITI and NIIT will jointly explore the possibility of introducing relevant programmes of NIIT in ICT and business skills in Egypt, he added.

A memorandum of understanding to this effect was signed between the two parties represented by Dr Eng Mohamed A Salem, Chairman, Information Technology Institute, Cairo and Mr G Raghavan.
