LS adjourned till 1400 hrs as BJP gets into well

New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) The BJP forced the adjournment of the Lok Sabha shortly before the lunch break by trooping into the well of the House to protest against CPI leader Mr Gurudas Dasgupta's remark against Leader of the Opposition L K Advani.

Even as Speaker Somnath Chatterjee quickly expunged Mr Dasgupta's remark, an infuriated opposition got into the well and started arguing with the Chair.

Sensing the mood of the members, the Speaker adjourned the House at 1250 hrs till 1400 hrs.

The adjournment came during zero hour when Mr Advani was allowed by the Speaker to raise the issue of the resignation of Coal Minister Shibu Soren from the Cabinet following his conviction in the Shashinath Jha murder case. The Speaker had subsequently allowed other members to express their views on the issue.
