K'taka Home Minister meets Governor
Bangalore, Nov 29 (UNI) Karnataka Home Minister M P Prakash today met Governor T N Chaturvedi to inform him about the steps taken by the State Government for holding free and fair polls in Chamundeswari Assembly constituency on December four.
Talking to reporters after meeting the Governor at Raj Bhavan here, Mr Prakash said he had met the Governor as a Home Minister to explain about the law and order position there. There was no single complaint regarding law and order, he claimed.
It was only the Congress which was misleading the Centre and the public about election campaigning, he alleged.
It may be recalled that the Governor had dashed off two letters to the State Government, asking it to pay attention to routine works and ensure that the Ministers remained accessible to the public instead of devoting all their time to campaigning.
