Kerala enter semi final of Nayadu trophy Rohan gets a double ton
Patiala, Nov 29 (UNI) Kerala's left-hand batsman Rohan Prem hit a hurricane unbeaten double century against a mediocre Delhi bowling attack in the quarter final encounter of the C K Nayadu Trophy (Under-22) at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket stadium here today.
Replying to Delhi's first innings score of 319, Kerala, overnight in 159 for 2, scored a massive 422 for 7 when the umpires stopped play in the mandatory overs.
By virtue of the first innings lead Kerala sailed into the semi final where they will meet Uttar Pradesh here from December 2 to 4.
Rohan Prem played with great authority, and drove the ball majestically on the front foot, to score 203 in 411 balls, hitting 28 fours. He was at the crease for 578 minutes.
P Prashant too played a cameo innings of 41, betting 8 fours and a six. Sarma scored 65 with 7 boundaries and Madan Mohan 46 with 6 hits to the fence to shatter the hopes of Delhi.
For Delhi, Tushar Pant took 2 for 39 in 16 overs, while Wilkins Victor also took two wickets, giving away 59 runs in 43 overs.
