K S Sreenivasan nominated as Director

Chennai, Nov 29 (UNI) K S Sreenivasan has been nominated as Director on the Board of the Union Bank of India under the chartered accountant category for a three year period.

An official release here said that an order to this effect was issued by the Union Finance Ministry. The order takes effect from October 11.

Mr Sreenivasan is the only Director to be appointed under the chartered accountant category from Tamil Nadu in a nationalised bank.

A senior chartered accountant with more than two decades of experience, Mr Sreenivasan had wide knowledge in banking, finance, taxation, company law, insurance, computerised systems audit, among others, with particular emphasis on investigation, vigilance and system security.

He had vast experience in conducting revenue audit, investigation, RBI statutory audit and also inspections for leading banks like SBI, Canara bank, Indian Bank, Andhra Bank and IOB.
