IOC pipe line catches fire at Begusarai

Begusarai, Nov 29 (UNI) The Barauni-Guwahati pipeline of Indian Oil Corporation(IOC) today caught fire under Sahebpur Kamal police station area in Begusarai district.

Police said senior officials of IOC and the district administration rushed to the spot to supervise the fire-fighting operation after receiving information about the incident.

Several fire tenders had been pressed into service to douse the blaze.

''The cause of the fire appeared to be leakage of oil from the pipeline,'' police added.
