IAS officer Ashok Khot given compulsory retirement
Mumbai, Nov 29 (UNI) Senior IAS officer Ashok Khot has been given compulsory retirement with immediate effect following the directives received by Maharashtra government from Ministry of Personal and Public Grievances and Pensions department of the Centre.
Khot is from the Maharashtra Cadre and has the rank of an Additional Chief Secretary.
Earlier, Mr Khot had been jailed for a month by the Supreme Court along with former minister Surupsingh Naik for giving permission to several saw mills in Navi Mumbai area.
An official release here today said 33 per cent reduction has been made in his pension and other benefits.
