Goods train derails at Ankleswar station

Vadodara, Nov 29 (UNI) Train services on the Surat-Bharuch section of the Western railways were affected following derailment of a goods train at Ankleswar station, about 100 km from here today.

According to railway sources, the derailment, which occured at around 0700 hrs at the Ankleswar station, affected the movement of trains. The train was on its way to Bajwa near Vadodara from Trumbe.

Senior railway officials had rushed to the spot with a relief train and restoration work was expected to be completed by 1500 hrs, the sources said, adding that no one was injured in the mishap.

Though the main down line was affected, the train services had become operational on the loop line. As a result of the derailment, several down trains were reportedly running late, the sources said.
