Gladrags ''Mrs India 2007'' grand finale on December 9
Mumbai, Nov 29 (UNI) 22 short-listed contestants will compete at the grand finale of the Bombay Dyeing Gladrags Mrs India 2007, scheduled for December 9 here, wherein the chosen one will get the opportunity to represent India at the ''Mrs Globe International'' pageant to be held in Las Vegas this year.
The finalists, after experiencing the highs and lows of the Gladrags Mrs India 2007 regional rounds, conducted all over India, walked the 713 ft ramp of the cruise liner Super Star Libra during their 3-day trip to Goa from November 26 till today.
Speaking on the occasion, Gladrags Beauty Pageants president Maureen Wadia said ''This is the sixth year of the Gladrags contest.
Believe me, when I say that the lives of these 22 contestants have not been the same for the last two-and-a-half months.'' Leena Mogre, the fitness trainer for the contestants said, ''Fitness is the base of beauty. Posture and grace are important. We control their diet and exercise. We do not tell them to starve, but what to eat and how much to eat. This training will give them the exposure. I do not know how many careers Maureen has launched.'' Anjali Kapoor, who is managing their wardrobe said, ''I will make them look as good as models.'' The contestants are from different parts of India and abroad like the Fiji Islands, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Aurangabad, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad and Chandigarh.
The Bombay Dyeing Gladrags Mrs India 2007 contestants are being trained at the Gladrags Career Academy under the supervision of Mrs Wadia. Some of the previous winners of the title include Aditi Govitrikar, who represented India and won the Mrs World crown in Las Vegas.
