Four pistols seized by BSF

Bongaon, Nov 28 (UNI) BSF today seized at least four pieces of improvised pistols being smuggled to Bangladesh in a truck stranded at the Central Warehouse Terminal at Petrapol close to the Indo-Bangladesh corridor near here in North 24 Parganas.

Following a tip off, BSF raided the CWC campus at Haridaspur and searched a truck laden with tyres under which the arms were hidden, BSF said.

BSF took the driver of the truck to their custody and later handed him over to the police.

Police have also been trying to apprehend the owner of the truck Mijanur Mollah and registered a case. Arms were being sent from Metiaburuz area in the city to Bangladesh police suspected.
