Engineer's body recovered in Poonch

Jammu, Nov (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police has recovered the dead body of a junior engineer of the Road and Building department from his official quarter in Poonch last evening.

Police said the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Mustafa, a resident of Surankot in Poonch district. He was presently posted in the R&B Division, Poonch.

Police broke the doors of his quarter at around 1900 hrs yesterday and found his body lying on the bed. It is suspected that the young engineer may have committed suicide as two small empty bottles of poisonous material (pesticides) were found on the bed.

No suicide note was found at the spot. A case under Section 174 CrPC has been registered.
