Employment-oriented special technical education scheme in Bihar

Katihar, Nov 29 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today said the government had formulated an employment-oriented scheme for the students of plus two.

Mr Modi told newspersons here that the students would be imparted four to five months specialised training for the field of banking, insurances, information technology, retail marketing and computer hardware.

He said all these sectors were employment-oriented and the tranining would certainly benefit the students.

The government had planned to construct one lakh shops through different civic bodies and panchayats, he said informing that these shops would be allotted to the educated unemployed at subsidised rates.

He said the government would distribute one lakh bycycles among the students of ninth and tenth free of cost. The government had also decided to provide monthly pension of Rs 200 to the physically handicapped and widows up to the age of 40.
