Ecumenical Trust Award distribution tomorow

Kottayam, Nov 29 (UNI) U R Ananthamurthy and Archbishop Mar Joseph Powathil have been selected for the religious Amity Award and Ecumenism Award respectively, of the Nilackal Ecumenical Trust.

At a news conference here yesterday Trust Secretary Rev Antony Nirappel said Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan would distribute the award to Dr U R Ananthamurthy and Cardinal Mar Varkey Vidayathil would give the award to Arch Bishop Mar Joseph Powathil at a function to be held at S B College Changanacherry here, tomorrow.

Minister T U Kuruvila, opposition leader Oommen Chandy, Catholica Bava Mar Baselios Thomas I of the Syrian Jacobite Church Marthoma Metropolitan Philipose Mar Chrisostom and other heads of various churches would participate in the function.
