CPI demonstrates for peace process
Guwahati, Nov 29 (UNI) The Communist party of India (CPI) today staged demonstration before the Raj Bhawan demanding restart of the peace process in the state.
The CPI delegation was led by the veteran CPI leaders Pramode Gogoi and Mr Dhrupad Buragohain. They marched to the Raj Bhawan along with hundreds of supporters.
They also demanded adequate compensation to the farmers who have been hit by the drought.
They said the peace process should be immediately initiated and the Centre must take the initiative to get the ULFA to the peace process.
