Cong and TRS cheating beedi workers: Chandrababu

Hyderabad, Nov 29 (UNI) The Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and the former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today alleged that the ruling Congress government and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) were cheating the beedi workers without solving their problems.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Naidu alleged that the Congress Government was not sincere in solving the problems of the beedi workers. The Government should scrap the Order making mandatory of pictorial dipicting of skull on beedi packets, if it was sincere in solving their problems, he added.

Alleging that the TRS Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao also failed to solve the plight of the beedi workers as a Union Minister for Labour and now, he was raising the issue to gain political mileage during December four bypoll to Karim Nagar Lok Sabha seat, he said the TDP would fight for the cause of beedi workers and the issue would also be raised in Parliament.
