Cong alone can solve Telangana issue: APCC

Hyderabad, Nov 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President K Keshava Rao today said Congress alone could bring about the formation of a separate Telangana state by evolving a consensus among all political parties.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here he alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao was blaming the Congress to cover up his failure in this matter.

''The Party is committed to solve the issue by negotiating with UPA constituents and the oppositon parties'', he said.

Referring to the government notification for printing the 'skull and bones warning symbol' on beedi packets, he said some modifications in the notification would solve the issue.

Union Labour Minister Oscar Fernandes had given the assurance that the government would solve the problem to protect the interests of beedi workers and beedi industry, he added.
