CM condoles death of Major Manish Pitambare

Mumbai, Nov 29 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today condoled the death of Major Manish Pitambare, who sacrificed his life fighting with militants in Jammu and Kashmir.

In his condolence message sent through the Thane district collector to late Manish's brother Girish, Mr Deshmukh said,''Major Manish's team had played a major role in arresting several accused involved in the serial bomb blasts on the border.'' Major Manish Hiraji Pitambare was among the four killed in south Kashmir district of Anantnag while fighting the militants early yesterday.

Mr Deshmukh said Major Pitambare died performing his duty till his last breath, an official release said here today.
