Child trafficking comes to light in K'taka village
Hubli, Nov 29 (UNI) An incident of parents selling their two daughters for money has been reported at Sortur village in Gadag district of Karnataka.
Police said Shekappa Kunnur allegedly sold two of his three daughters, studying in eighth and tenth, through an agent to some people in Gujarat. One of the girls was found by Render police at Surat in Gujarat, who in turn contacted the Gadag district administration.
Following the incident, the villagers of Sortur have decided to 'socially boycott' the Kunnur family.
