CEOs to participate in Vibrant Gujarat IT Summit on Dec 1

Ahmedabad, Nov 29 (UNI) As India rides on the information super- highway, in a bid to promote Gujarat as a favoured destination for the booming Information Techonology (IT) and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES), the State Government has organised a 'Vibrant Gujarat IT summit' on December 1, here.

The top honchos of India's IT sector which include the likes of Mr S Ramadorao, CEO and MD of Tata Consultancy Services, Mr B Ramalinga Raju, Chairman, Satyam Computers and NASSCOM, Mr Kiran Karnik, President, NASSCOM, Mr Pavan Vaish, COO, IBM Daksh, Mr Bharat Desai, Chairman, Syntel Inc, Mr Rajiv Modi, Chairman, Sasken Communication Technologies and Mr Harish MEhta, CEO, Onwards Technologies, among others, will be converging in Ahmedabad for this summit.

MoUs will be signed for investments in IT infrastructure such as SEZ, Parks, communication infrastructure, software services as well as BPO and KPO, said an official statement here.

Highlighting the advantages Gujarat offers, the Government said friendly administration, lower real estate and manpower costs, human resources availability, excellent conncetivity, and lowest BPO attrition rate with 100 percent power and connectivity uptime, were some of the major reasons why investors were keen to invest in the state.
