Asha Bhosale and Arshad Warsi praise 'Munnabhai'

Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) A day after the designated TADA court acquitted actor Sanjay Dutt for conspiracy and involvement in the Mumbai serial blasts, playback legend Asha Bhosale and co-actor Arshad Warsi were all praise for the beleaguered actor here today.

''He is not a traitor. I am glad he is declared innocent.

Today, Sunil Dutt and his mother Nargis Dutt would have been very happy. I am glad that their family name is not tainted,'' veteran playback singer Asha Bhosale said.

Co-actor Arshad Warsi, who gained fame as 'Circuit' in the superhit films Munnabhai MBBS and 'Lage Raho Munnabhai', was even more forthcoming.

''When people came to me to ask for my reactions I thought I should tell them who the real Sanjay is. What situation he is going through. What a good father he is and so on .. His daughter Trishala wants to be a lawyer, and if the need ever arises wants to defend him. About the actor Sanjay, he was never insecure.

'Munnabhai' and 'Circuit' have changed my life. Inspite of being at that level, he is always humble and very very helpful.'' ''Very few people have that kind of generosity. If it would not have been for Sanju, I would not have done the role. Since yesterday I have been watching TV and when I heard the verdict, I was relieved. When I found out he has come back home, I was happy,''he added.

Other Bollywood personalities like Ramesh Sippy, Dino Morea and Vashu Bhagnani also echoed similar thoughts.
