Ansal API Q2 net up 212 pc; income grows by 112%
New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) Real estate major Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Ltd (APIL) today posted a jump of 212 per cent in net profit at Rs 22.01 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 7.06 crore posted in Q2FY06.
During the quarter, the company's net income grew by 112 per cent at Rs 149.58 crore as against Rs 70.72 crore posted in the same period of last fiscal.
Ansal API Chairman Sushil Ansal said, ''Our robust economic growth coupled with investments in various strategic areas helped us grow faster in this environment. We would continue to invest in growing our partnerships and new projects to areas where our investors will benefit the most.'' For the half year ended September 2006, Ansal API's net income stood at Rs 310.78 crore, up 98 per cent from Rs 156.86 crore during the corresponding period last year, while the company reported a net profit of Rs 50.23 crore as against Rs 17.54 crore in the same period last year, registering a growth of 186 per cent.
EPS for the first half of FY07 was reported at Rs 10.05 compared to Rs 5.01 in the corresponding period of FY06.
