Advani has dual standards: Uma
Kanpur, Nov 29 (UNI) Expelled BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti today charged senior party leader Lal Krishna Advani with having dual standards.
Talking to mediapersons here, Ms Bharti said the former Deputy Prime Minister had ''apologised'' for the Ayodhya movement during his Pakistan visit.
''If he (Advani) visits the disputed site and performs the 'parikrama' of the complex, I will rush to Ayodhya the following day with 'Gangajal' to purify the place,'' she quipped.
Ms Bharti said she would be arrested if she tried to stop Mr Advani from visiting Ayodhya.
Taking a swipe on BJP, she asserted the party was losing its ground and would hardly win 40 seats in the 2007 Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
Ms Bharti is also the founder President of Bharatiya Janshakti Party (BJS).
''I will hold a two-day meeting of BJS in Lucknow from December 6, where I will announce the names of 100 party candidates for the next year's election in UP,'' she informed.
Ms Bharti expressed confidence of a good show at the hustings.
Fearing large scale violence in the polls, the expelled BJP leader said she would hold confabulations with UP Governor T V Rajeswar at New Delhi on 4-5 December.
