Adampur coldest in Punjab at 3 degrees

Jalandhar, Nov 29 (UNI) Jalandhar and adjoining areas continued to reel under severe cold as mercury hovered around three degrees Celsius at the Adampur Airport for the second successive day today.

An official spokesman, quoting Air Force Met Centre data, said the minimum temperature which was recorded at 3.4 degrees yesterday at the Adampur airport dipped further to 3.2 degrees this morning.

Cold winds also continued to sweep across other towns with Amritsar recording 5.6 degrees, Pathankot 6.6 degrees and Ludhiana (Halwara Airport) 6.8 degrees.
