2 killed in inter-factional clashes in Nagaland

Kohima, Nov 29 (UNI) The NSCN (K) today claimed that about two NSCN-IM cadres were killed in two separate inter-factional clashes under Nagaland's Zunheboto and Peren districts yesterday.

According to sources, the NSCN (K) cadres attacked the rival NSCN-IM cadres, who were taking shelter near the Assam Rifles camp at Athibung in Peren yesterday, killing a rival cadre and injuring another.

The NSCN (K) cadres had to retreat due to retaliation from NSCN-IM cadres and Assam Rifles.

In another incident in Sheyipu village, three kms from Zunheboto, some NSCN (K) cadres attacked the NSCN-IM camp yesterday, injuring a cadre on 'bunker duty', the sources claimed.

Another NSCN-IM cadre was killed at Chalkot village under Peren district yesterday, sources said.
