12 get life-term in murder case

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 29 (UNI) Twelve people, were sentenced to life imprisonment by the sessions Judge in the notorious gangster N Srinu murder case at Mangalagiri town in the district.

According to the police, the murdered person Srinu was a notorious criminal, involved in several murder and extortion cases.

On September 10, 2000, he sexually harassed a woman Ms Varalakshmi and outraged her modesty. He attacked some people, who tried to protect her. The women of the area then decided to end the menace.

Srinu was fatally attacked on September 14, 2000. His wife who survived the attack gave evidence in the case, police added.
