Work on Usha school hostel to start on Dec 2

Kozhikode, Nov 28 (UNI) The construction work of a 40-bedded hostel building for Usha School of Athletics (USHA), headed by sprint queen P T Usha, would begin at Kinaloor in this district on December 2.

An USHA release today said Bangalore based industrialist P N C Menon would formally lay the foundation stone of the Rs 1.5 crore project sponsored by Sobha Developers Ltd.

Usha's husband Srinivasan, who was coordinating the work, said the project was expected to be completed by June 2007 and the school would be shifted to the new premises by that time.

At present the school was functioning at a rented premise at Quilandy in the district.
