Woman arrested with heroin worth Rs 50 lakh

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) As part of its ongoing drive against drug peddlars in the Capital, police have arrested a woman from Nangloi-Najafgarh area in South-West Delhi and seized heroin worth more than 50 lakhs in the international market.

Renu, whose several family members are also involved in drug peddling, was arrested from Chanchal Park in Nangloi-Najafgarh area yesterday following a tip-off, police said today.

Heroin weighing 510 grams worth more than 50 lakh rupees were seized from her possession.

Interrogations revealed that five members of her family were also involved in the 'drugs business' and several had been convicted, police added.
