Vaakya develops BAF for SMEs

Bangalore, Nov 28 (UNI) The city-based Vaakya Technologies has developed a software development and delivery platform and a descriptive scripting language, which would help increase the profitability of SMEs and Independent Software Vendors.

Vaakya Business Application Framework (BAF) was the first framework product available for beta and on-demand model. The product would enable developers, small and medium ISVs to decrease their time to develop and deliver applications to market by nearly 30 to 40 per cent, Vaakya CEO K Sudarsan said in a release here today.

The programme was an integrated suite of routine components which included an IDE, a database and a web application server, all in a small footprint of less than 1.5 MB. It could be used in different operating systems like Windows, Linux and FreeBSD.

''Vaakya BAF needs fewer resources and time to develop and deliver application on-premise or on-demand. It also offers faster time to market applications with a low cost of ownership and high return on investment,'' he added.
