Sugar prices eases further on thin buying support

Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) Sugar prices today eased further on thin buying support, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.

Sugar in small and medium grades declined by Rs nine and Rs seven per quintal respectively due to lack of fresh demand.

Sugar in ex-mill small grade rose by Rs five per quintal on reduced stock supply while medium grade fell by Rs five per quintal on account of sustained heavy selling pressure.

Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,692/1,751, Medium grade: Rs 1,730/1,782, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,680/1,700, Medium grade: Rs 1,700/1,735.
