Six labourers buried alive
Sidhi, MP, Nov 28 (UNI) Six labourers, including five females, were buried alive and two injured when a soil-extraction mine collapsed at about 1100 hrs today at Vardi village about 100 km from this district headquarters, the police said.
The deceased were identified as Savita (16), Bittan (16), Urmila (20), Sulochana Kol (20), Parvati (24) and Bibbe (22). Those hurt were admitted to the district hospital. Senior police officers rushed to the spot. Collector Sukhveer Singh directed immediate disbursal of ex gratia.
