Silver rises on bullion exchange
Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) A mixed trend was seen on the Bombay Bullion Exchange today with Silver rising by Rs ten per kg on reduced stock supply even as Gold fell by Rs 20 per ten gm on lack of fresh demand. Spot Silver .999 fineness variety opened low at Rs 19,820 per kg on poor demand. Later, it improved and closed high at Rs 19,840 per kg, with a gain of Rs 10 from yesterday's close.
In London, the white metal was quoted low at USD 13.40/13.46 per troy ounce against USD 13.50/13.53 per troy ounce in New York.
However, standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) also opened weak at Rs 9,275 and Rs 9,325 per ten grams respectively.
The yellow metal declined further and closed at Rs 9,265 and Rs 9,310 with a loss of Rs 15 for standard Gold and Rs 20 for pure Gold.
In London, the yellow metal fell slightly at USD 636.70/638.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 635/639 per troy ounce at New York on Monday.
