Shivaji Park to get a face-lift
Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has chalked up an ambitious Rs one crore-plan for beautifying the Shivaji Park at Dadar here.
The park will be adorned with a fresh grass cover and its boundary outlined with palm trees, an MCGM release here today said.
Sprinklers will be installed all along the grounds at regular distances.
The park is a prominent site in the metropolis which is used for sports activities and for holding political rallies, among other things, all through the year.
Assistant municipal commissioner Ashwin Khanolkar has, in the press release, urged the citizens to keep the park clean. Currently, the park is maintained by a 20-member staff and a 10-member cleaners team that cleans the park on a daily basis.
