PSI lands in ACB net
Jamnagar, Gujarat, Nov 28 (UNI) A police sub-inspector here was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting a bribe from a transporter.
Nilesh Mohan Parmar, the police officer, was arrested last night while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a prominent transporter, Kiritbhai Bhadra.
Mr Bhadra had lodged a complaint with the anti corruption bureau alleging that Parmar had demanded a monthly amount of Rs 15,000 from him to allow his trucks a hassle-free passage. The demand was later scaled down to Rs 10,000.
Following the complaint, a police team, led by police inspectors A J Kohil and B V Jani, laid a trap and nabbed Parmar while accepting the amount.
